ALSA Advanced Linux Sound Architecture programms and utils like amixer, alsamixer, aplay and some more. Note: No devices are created and no kernel modules are loaded so you'll have to take care about this.

CTorrent is a BitTorrent client implemented in C++ to be lightweight and quick.

[edit] Daapd mediaserver

mt-daapd is an open-source media server (or daemon) for the Roku SoundBridge and iTunes. It serves media files using Roku Server Protocol (RSP) and Digital Audio Access Protocol (DAAP). This package is compiled with mp3 and ogg support.
daapd comes with its own webserver (port 3689/ PW: daapd)
By default the music from /mnt/IDE1/public/music will be "exported".

ELinks is an advanced and well-established feature-rich text mode web (HTTP/FTP/..) browser.
ELinks supports tabbed browsing as well as rendering both frames and tables.
The current version is compiled with (beta) torrent support.

podcatcher is a shellscript that will download your favorite podcasts and check for update once per day. The podcasts will be stored in /mnt/IDE1/public/music/<podcast>. The config file is /system/overlay/apps/podcatcher/podcast-stations.txt simply add the url to your stations rss file there.

When using rsync in daemon mode, you have to create a configuration file,

GNU Wget is a free software package for retrieving files using HTTP, HTTPS and FTP. This program is compiled with ssl support, make sure you are using the "right" wget by calling is with the full path /system/overlay/bin/wget.
